Sandals Hotels and Resorts is bringing a new concept to its latest venture in the Caribbean; over-water suites at the Sandals Grande St Lucian village development. The concept has received approval from the St Lucian government and construction plans are already underway to provide the first-of-its-kind accommodation to the beautiful Caribbean island.
The resort will have 26 over-the-water suites that will be available in three luxurious categories. The unique suites will feature transparent glass floors, outdoor showers, Jacuzzis, over-the-water hammocks and lit water that will create a romantic ambience for night viewing.
During st lucia holidays guests will be able to relax in their rooms with the help of the personal butler service which will be provided as part of the exclusive partnership between the Guild of Professional English Butlers and Sandals Hotels and Resorts.
Adam Stewart, chief executive of Sandals Hotels and Resorts, said: "We want to thank the government of Saint Lucia for their support of this project and are thrilled to begin moving forward this summer. The Caribbean is one of the world's most exquisite and gorgeous destinations and easily accessible for many travellers. Now, with these suites, guests will no longer need to travel halfway around the world to enjoy the popular over-the-water experience."
The Sandals Grande St Lucian will also have 11 Beachfront Rondoval Suites with private plunge pools and Jacuzzis; 19 plunge pool suites; and 24 lavish beachfront villas.
Guests taking luxury St Lucia holidays at Sandals Grande St Lucian will be able to enjoy international gourmet cuisine at seven exquisite restaurants and swim-up bars; access to the golf course at the nearby Sandals Regency St. Lucia Golf Resort and Spa; and entertainment and themed nights at the property's bars and nightclubs.
Facilities at one of the most luxurious St Lucia hotels and resorts include a modern fitness centre, five swimming pools, six whirlpools and flood-lit tennis courts. Tourists seeking water-based activities during holidays in st lucia can take part in snorkelling, scuba diving, windsurfing, kayaking, and water-skiing activities, as well as enjoy pool and beach volleyball, hydro bikes and Hobie Cat sailing.
The resort offers rejuvenating and relaxing services and treatments at the Red Lane Spa including Hot Stone Therapy, Lava Shells massage, Mud Massage Therapy, West Indian Massage, Caribbean Sea Wrap, Sugar Glow Exfoliation, and facial treatments.
Sandals Hotels and Resorts operate a number of highly renown luxury holiday resorts across the Caribbean and was named the World's Leading All-inclusive Company and the Caribbean's Leading Hotel Brand at the World Travel Awards 2010.
